Who Makes the Best Bagels? Answering a Tough Question

As with most things in life people gravitate towards the best but when it comes to food choosing “the best” is very subjective, and based on personal experiences/tastes in many ways: Think about the difference between a foodie growing up in New York City eating bagels regularly versus someone with no bagel experience judging an NYC bagel.

If you are on the hunt for the best bagel the first thing to think about is your preferences – do you usually order a more savory bagel or a sweeter option? Also, with whatever option you choose, what makes the bagel special to you?

While some people may enjoy a softer, more chewy bagel, others lean towards the New York-style or even Montreal-style with an extreme crunch, but it all comes down to what you like in the end.

And aside from the bagel itself, what you choose to top it with. This can be everything from cream cheese alone to lox, capers, tomatoes, onions, and so much more.

The moral of the story is that when you recognize exactly what you want in a bagel you can then gauge who makes the best based on the insights your taste buds are providing.
