What Are Pizza Bagels?

At Western Bagel, pizza bagels are specialty bagels. They are made fresh daily at our Van Nuys bagel factory and stores!

With a fully baked water bagel, aka a plain bagel, our baker tops it with savory tomato sauce and then pops it in the oven for about 1-2 minutes. Once outside the oven, we add a thick slice of mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce and pop it one last time into the oven for about 1 minute or less. We prefer our cheese to be softly melted, not dripping down our bagels, which is why we only leave them in the oven for a short time.
